This deck was a necessity to enable safe exit from the rear of the house, a requirement by many insurance companies. Here, the customer sought a landing that would “blend” with the house as it was when it was new. Wanting to preserve this aesthetic, but still seeking the easy maintenance and longevity of composite materials, the “build” incorporated traditional pressure treated railings and balusters with Trex flooring.
